Terms and Condition

 

1. Membership Cancellation

1.1 Should a member wish to cancel their membership a written request must be received by the health club manager a minimum of 30 days notice.  Failure to provide sufficient notice the following month’s membership subscription will be charged. The membership card must also be returned when membership has expired.

1.2 On cancellation of membership the joining fee will not be refunded.

1.3 It is the responsibility of the member to cancel his/her direct debit on termination of the membership once the final membership subscription has been collected by the health & fitness club.

1.4 Membership fee paid 6/12 months in advice are non refundable/transferable.

1.5 The company hereafter referred to as the club reserves the right to refuse or revoke a membership.

 

2. Payment Terms

2.1 The joining fee and the first months payment must be received prior to commencing his/her membership.

2.2 The subscription fee can be paid monthly by direct debit. Any member that falls behind in payment for more than 30 days will cease to be an active member and will be subject to a joining fee to reinstate membership.

2.3 At the discretion of the leisure club manager a member may suspend their membership for a term between 3 to 6 months. An administration fee will be charged for this privilege.

2.4 Monthly membership subscriptions must be paid irrespective of whether the member uses the facilities. 

2.5 The member shall not be given fewer than 10 days notice to any change to the membership fees.

 

3. Terms and Conditions

3.1 The club reserves the right to change, add or revoke the terms and conditions of the club, any such changes will be displayed in the club providing 10 days notice.

3.2 A member accepts that they enter into any activity at the club entirely at their own risk. The membership further accepts that, in the absence of negligence on the part f the club, they will hold blameless the club, it’s health & fitness specialists, instructors, or other employees, servants or agents (including any independent contractor) for any damages resulting from, but not limited to, injury or death incurred or arising from any activity undertaken at the cub.

3.3 The club will not accept liability for loss or damage to the property of members and guests nor to injury to members or guests on the premises’ or car park.

3.4 The club, whose decision shall be final and binding on all members, shall determine any dispute which may arise with regards to the interpretation of these rules.

 

4. Fitness Suite Facilities

4.1 All members must fill out a pre exercise medical screening questionnaire before using the fitness suite and/or any other facilities available. The cub reserve the right to refuse usage of the fitness suite based on medical concerns or prior medical history, if the individuals health concerns are at risk. Members are responsible for monitoring their own physical condition throughout any activity undertake in the club and should any unusual symptoms occur they must immediately refrain from participating in that activity and infirm a health & fitness instructor or any other member of the leisure staff.

4.2 Members must wear appropriate clothing whilst using the fitness suite, training shoes must be worn at all times, cut off jeans are not acceptable, men must wear a training vest or a t-shirt, and no swimwear will be permitted in the fitness suite.

4.3 A qualified member of staff will carry out all coaching or sport and leisure tuition, no external coaching shall be permitted unless organised by the club.

4.4 No person under the age of 16 may use the fitness suite unless supervised by a qualified instructor.

4.5 Members and guests are requested to wipe down fitness equipment and carry a towel with them whilst using the fitness suite.

 

5. Membership Cards
5.1 Members must present their membership card on entrance of the club; the club reserve the right to refuse entrance to the facility without a membership card.   
5.2 Membership cards/wristbands are the property of the club, lost membership cards/wristbands can be replaced, and an administration charge will be made for replacement cards/wristbands.
5.3 The club reserves the right to ask any member to produce their membership card/wristband whilst on the premises of the club.
5.4 Cards/wristbands are not transferable and any card/wristband being used by a person other than the authorised member will result in the cancellation of the authorised user membership without refund of the joining fee or subscription already paid.

6. Guest
6.1 All guests are subject to the terms and conditions of the club.
6.2 The club reserves the right to limit guest usage.

6.3 All guests must sign into the club on their entrance.
6.4 The club reserves the right to refuse to admission.
6.5 The number of guests a member may invite at any one time will be subject to

availability.

6.6 No member shall at any time introduce any guest who has been rejected as a

member of the club or had their membership terminated or suspended.

 

7. Children (9 and below) and Young Adults (10-15)

7.1 Children and young adults may only use the facilities during the published usage

times.

7.2 Parents are totally responsible for their children’s behaviour at all times. Children that abuse the club and the facilities may jeopardise the whole family’s membership.
7.3 Children and Young Adults of 17 years and below must be accompanied by an adult or guardian over the age of 18 years at all times.

7.4 Children up to the age of 6 years can use the opposite sex changing facilities but must at all times be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

7.5 The club at all times reserves the right to refuse and/or eject children in the case of inappropriate behaviour and/or conduct.

 

8 Saunas, Steam Rooms, Spa Bath and Swimming Pool

8.1 Members suffering from the following conditions must not use these facilities, high or low blood pressure, cardiac problems, breathing difficulties or asthma, or pregnancy.

8.2 Swimming costumes must be worn at all times.

8.3 Members and guests must shower before using the steam room, sauna, swimming pool or spa bath.

8.4 Poolside users are requested to shower after using any of the heated facilities and before re-entering the swimming pool.

8.5 Children and young adults under the age of 16 cannot use the steam room, and sauna.

8.6 Children and young adults under the age of 12 cannot use the spa bath

8.7 No ball games are allowed in the pool area.

8.8 No diving or outdoor footwear is permitted in the pool area.

 

9 Repairs and Removal of Facilities

9.1 In the event that any equipment or facilities are out of order, or use for the purpose of maintenance, cleaning, replacement or upgrading, the club will Endeavour to bring them back into use at the earliest opportunity.

 

10 Belongings

10.1 Personal belongings are brought into the club at the members risk and the club does not accept liability for loss r damage. Members are advised to use the lockers provided.

10.2 Members or their guests may not reserve lockers. The club on a daily basis will empty lockers. Items found will be kept for a limited period only.

10.3 Only one key will be issued per locker. In the event of a member losing a locker key a charge will be made for the replacement key and locker mechanism.

10.4 The club accepts no liability for loss or damage neither to property of members and guests nor to injury to members or guests on the club premises nor in the car park.

 

11 Club Opening Hours

11.1 The club reserves the right to change availability of facilities or opening hours.

 

12 Health and Hygiene

12.1 In the interest of health and safety, no crockery, glass, or food is permitted in the changing rooms, fitness suite, and swimming pool area. No pets are permitted in the club buildings or grounds. Fire exits are clearly marked, members and guests must not interfere with these doors for any reason. Smoking is not permitted in the club and is only acceptable in designated areas of the hotel facilities.

12.2 Members and/or guests may not enter the club under the influence of alcohol or through using any illegal substances that could affect their state of mind.

12.3 Due to the need to control poolside hygiene and safety, we request that members and their guests wear a pool shoe e.g. flip flops when on poolside or using any of the poolside facilities. These shoes must only be used on poolside and cannot be used within this are if used externally.

12.4 The club will not accept liability for members or guests if an accident should occur whilst on poolside or through using any of the poolside facilities, due to the client not wearing a specific pool shoe.

 

13 General

13.1 Members and guests are requested to wear appropriate clothing fitting the occasion or use of facility. Members and guests are requested not to use the hotel facilities in swimwear.

 

14 Lost Property

14.1 Items found will be available from the Leisure Club Reception and will be kept for a period of three months.

 

15 Corporate Membership

15.1 The club reserves the right to request a minimum number of memberships in order to commence with any corporate membership tariff.

15.2 Corporate membership is only offered subject to membership availability and upon the club manger’s discretion.

15.3 If the number should ever fall below the requested minimum the company will be informed by the club management in writing and given a maximum of two months to address the shortfall in order to maintain the Corporate membership rate. In failing t do this the club manager reserves the right to increases the collected subscriptions from the corporate rate to the normal monthly membership rate without further notification.

15.4 All standard terms and conditions are applicable to all corporate memberships.
