Name and Constitution

The name of the club is Finlake Fitness owned by the Haulfryn Group Ltd.


The objectives of the club are:

To provide and make available to members and guests, health and recreational facilities, whilst promoting and encouraging a greater degree of physical fitness and well being.


When an applicant has been elected a member and has paid the relevant subscription, he or she shall be a member of the club and be entitled to all the privileges outlined in that particular membership type and shall be deemed to be bound by these rules. Absolute discretion is granted to the management to reject any applicant for membership without reason for doing so. In this case any subscription monies shall be returned. 

Membership My Bands

An elected member will be issued with a membership My Band at reception upon their next visit to the club. Members who lose their band must contact Finlake Fitness for a replacement band with a charge attached to replacement bands.


Members introducing a guest shall ensure all guests purchase a day pass from the respective reception desk.

Admission and Conduct

The management reserves the right to refuse admission to the club and may expel any member or guest whose conduct is such that, in its opinion, shall be detrimental to the character of the club or the interests of the members. The company at its discretion and without ascribing any reasons, therefore, may terminate the membership of any member refunding that unexpired portion of their current subscription. In the event of a serious or repeated breach of the club rules no refund will be made. The company may refuse to renew the membership of any member without giving any reason.

Health and Safety

For reasons of safety and hygiene all members and guests shall:

  • Not consume alcohol before exercise
  • Receive instructions on the use of health and leisure equipment. In the event of no induction recquired, a disclaimer must be signed
  • Wipe down the machines after use with paper towels and spray provided
  • Wear tops and closed shoes in the gym at all times
  • Put all equipment away after use
  • Shower before entering the pool
  • Not introduce food, drink or glass into the changing areas or poolside (Finlake Falls only)
  • Not allow children under the age of 16 to use the health and leisure equipment without prior consent of management
  • Persons under 16 years of age are not permitted to use the sauna and steam room facilities at any time
  • Not allow pets into the fitness suite and associated areas
  • Those with diabetes, heart problems, high/low blood pressure, epilepsy or who are using strong medication or who have any form or indication of a medical condition should consult their doctor before exercising or using the fitness suite and any other associated areas
  • All new members will require an induction before training can commence, or if you wish to waver this a disclaimer must be signed


Members shall wear the correct clothing at all times when visiting Finlake Fitness. Outdoor shoes will not be allowed into the club.

Indoor and Outdoor Swimming Pools

In the interest of hygiene members are requested to shower before using the pool. Swimming is only permitted during the official opening hours.

  • All swimmers under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult within the pool vicinity at all times.
  • One adult may accompany a maximum of 2 children under the age of 8 in the water.
  • Children of 8 years and under or non-swimmers MUST be supervised by a competent adult IN THE WATER at all times.


Membership is non-transferable or refundable. Where payment is made by direct debit, there is a commitment to make all payments for he appropriate length of time.

We may suspend the services if you do not pay. We will contact you to tell you we are suspending supply of the products. We will not allow use of the services until payment has been received for the monies owed.

Ending the contract.

If you have signed a contract with us then you are bound to this for the term of your contract period. One calendar months notice is required if you wish to cancel oustide your contract period. If you wish to cancel inside your contract period you must provide evidence of the below:

  • Pregnancy
  • Serious Illness
  • Serious Injury
  • If you move house more than 30 miles away from Finlake Fitness TQ13 0EJ
  • Redundancy
  • Your works relocates more than 30 miles away from Finlake Fitness TQ13 0EJ


Haulfryn Group Ltd at its discretion may vary these rules from time to time and these changes will be made clear.


In the event of any dispute arising out of the interpretation of these rules the decision of the Haulfryn Group Ltd on such interpretation shall be final.

Social Media Policy

As a member of any Haulfryn Group Ltd social media page you agree that you will not post, publish or submit any of the following material:

  • Material that infringes the copyright of another person (plagiarism, or passing off other peoples material as your own) or copyright material not referenced or acknowledged.
  • Unauthorized posting of personal information (names, addresses, phone number, email etc) of other users.
  • Material that contains vulgar, obscene or indecent language or images.
  • Material which defames, abuses or threatens others.
  • Statements that are bigoted, hateful or racially offensive.
  • Material that advocates illegal activity or discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them.
  • No flaming; there is a difference between voicing a legitimate concern or grievance and simply badmouthing or some other form of written abuse of someone or some service. These will be deleted on discovery.
  • Posts or other material which is deemed inappropriate by the site administrators or appropriate team managers will be deleted upon discovery. Users who violate the Terms of Service may have their membership terminated.
  • Any person actively using these sites is implicitly agreeing to these rules regardless of whether they have been read or not.

The Direct Debit Guarantee

  • This Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that take part in the Direct Debit Scheme. The efficiency and security of the Scheme is monitored and protected by your bank or building society.
  • If the amounts to be paid or the payment dates change, Haulfryn Group Ltd will notify you 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed.
  • If an error is made by Haulfryn Group Ltd or your bank or building society, you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund from your branch for the amount paid.
  • You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by writing to your bank or building society. Please also send a copy of your letter to Haulfryn Group Ltd.
