Gym & Pool Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Membership

• Membership is personal to the named member and cannot be transferred.
• Members must be aged 16 years or over to use the gym unless participating in an authorised supervised programme.

2. Health Declaration

• All members must complete a Medical Questionnaire before using the facilities.
• Members are responsible for informing us of any changes to their health or medical condition.
• If advised by a medical professional, members should seek medical clearance before exercising.

3. Access to Facilities

Membership includes access only to the facilities included within your chosen membership package and during published opening hours.

Opening hours may vary due to maintenance, bank holidays, private functions or unforeseen circumstances.

4. Gym Rules

• Suitable gym clothing and clean, enclosed sports footwear must be worn.
• Please use a towel during exercise.
• Wipe down equipment after use using the cleaning products provided.
• Return all equipment and free weights to their designated storage areas after use.
• Please lower weights in a controlled manner and do not drop them.
• Be considerate of other members and staff at all times.
• Mobile phones should be kept on silent, and calls should be taken outside the gym.
• Photography and video recording are not permitted without prior permission.

5. Pool Rules

• Appropriate swimwear must be worn.
• Running, diving and rough play are prohibited.
• Children must be supervised in accordance with the pool's admission policy.
• Members must follow all lifeguard or staff instructions.
• Members must not enter the pool if under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Members with contagious illnesses should not use the pool.

6. Hygiene

Members are expected to maintain high standards of personal hygiene while using the facilities.

7. Conduct

We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

The following behaviour will not be tolerated:

• Abusive, threatening or aggressive behaviour.
• Harassment or discrimination.
• Damage to equipment or facilities.
• Misuse of equipment.
• Behaviour likely to endanger yourself or others.

Management reserves the right to refuse entry or terminate membership where these standards are not met.

8. Lockers

• Lockers are provided for day use only.
• Personal belongings are left entirely at the owner's risk.
• Items left overnight may be removed.

9. Personal Property

The Club accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings.

10. Membership Payments

• Membership fees are payable in advance.
• Monthly memberships are collected by Direct Debit unless otherwise agreed.
• Failed payments may result in suspension of membership until payment has been received.

11. Cancellation

• Membership may be cancelled by providing the required notice as detailed within your membership agreement.
• Any outstanding fees remain payable.

12. Temporary Closure

From time to time facilities may be unavailable due to essential maintenance, repairs, cleaning, staff training or circumstances beyond our control. We will endeavour to minimise disruption wherever possible.

13. Safety

Members must use all equipment correctly and follow staff instructions at all times.

Any accidents, injuries or damaged equipment should be reported immediately.

14. Liability

Members use the facilities entirely at their own risk. Nothing within these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes liability where this would be unlawful.

15. Privacy

Personal information will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

16. Changes to Terms

The Club reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Members will be notified of any significant changes.

By activating your membership and using the facilities, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
