Terms and Conditions
Membership of Stocks Hall Health Club and Spa is granted subject to the following Conditions of Membership.
Stocks Hall Health Club and Spa shall be operated, as a propriety club owned by Mawdesley Leisure. The club will be administered by 3d leisure or by another nominated person. The owner shall solely determine the facilities of the club; any amendment or replacement shall be at the owner’s discretion.
It is the aim of Stocks Hall Health Club and Spa to provide a pleasurable part of your leisure time. To that end we have put together, some simple “terms of membership†which we hope will ensure all members are able to enjoy the club safely and without being inconvenienced.
We welcome all members’ comments and suggestions.
Access
Members must swipe in to the club using the swipe system situated at reception.
Entry will be refused to anybody under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn in the club. In the gymnasium, studio and health suite outdoor shoes must not be worn. Swimming costumes must be worn in the, sauna and steam room. Swimsuits and exercise clothing, with the exception of tracksuits, may not be worn in the public areas of the club.
No animals are permitted in the club, other than guide dogs.
The Club will open from 6am-10pm weekdays, 8am-8pm weekends. Last entry is 30 Minutes before closing. These hours may vary on Bank
Holidays and over Christmas, New Year, and Easter.
Where it is agreed that a member may suspend their membership, a monthly administration fee
of £10.00 will be payable in advance for the period of suspension.
The club reserves the right to close facilities without prior notice should the need arise. Whenever possible advanced warning will be given.
Members may be accompanied by a maximum of two guests at any one visit, unless prior arrangements have been made with the Club Manager.
Only adult members are permitted to sign in guests.
The club reserves the right to refuse admission to any guest.
The club reserves the right to terminate membership without giving reason. (Refunds may be available subject to circumstances of membership termination).
If you fail to pay any amount due under this agreement for a period of more than thirty days then we may pass the debt to third party Company for collection. The costs incurred in employing the third party will become borne by you, including costs in tracing you should you have changed address without informing the club.
Membership of the Club will commence from the first date agreed for the Gym Induction following the receipt and clearance of an Enrolment & membership fee.
Monthly membership is granted for a period of not less than six months (unless otherwise agreed
on the membership application form). Membership will continue until notification is given by the member of their intended cancellation.
Health & Safety
Please shower before using the spa pool, sauna and steam room.
Prior to using the Health suite we advise first time users to read the HSE health & safety poster displayed in the health suite.
Prior to using the gymnasium, you must read and sign to say you have understood the Personal Health Statement (PHS) and that you will abide by these conditions.
In the sauna or steam room, reading, shaving, or the drying of clothing and towels is not permitted.
Members must accept responsibility for their guests and ensure that they abide by the terms of membership. Members must be with their guests at all times.
Food and drink are not permitted in the changing rooms.
Glass (including face masks made from glass)Â and crockery is not permitted anywhere in the club other than the reception/lounge area.
Smoking/vaping is not permitted anywhere in the club.
Safety instructions for all equipment must be adhered to at all times.
The club places great importance on safety of its members and staff. The design and maintenance of equipment and training of staff support this objective. It is the duty of every member to exercise responsibly and take all the possible steps to prevent injury to themselves and to others and to report any accidents, potential hazards or equipment breakages to staff on duty.
CCTV is in operation for the safety and security of our members and any guests using the club.
Children
1. Children between 14-18 must have a parent as a guarantor before membership can commence.
Administration
The club management reserves the right to reject any application for membership without giving a reason.
The club fees and tariffs shall be determined by the club and may be altered at any time. Members will be notified in advance of any changes.
The club reserves the right to terminate the membership of any member without notice in the event of a member committing a serious breach of the clubs terms of membership.
On cancellation or termination of membership, no refund will be made.
All members who wish to cancel their membership must do so in writing giving 28 days notice.
A rejected direct debit payment will incur a £5 administration charge which will be added to the subsequent month’s payment.
All members will pay a subscription beginning when the member is accepted for membership and shall be payable by monthly payments which will be debited from the members bank account by monthly direct debit.
Members shall be entitled to renew their membership on the expiry of the initial membership period with the same payment options as in the initial membership period. Note that continuance of monthly payments to the Club at the end of the initial membership period shall be deemed to constitute renewal of the Member’s membership for a further membership period at the prevailing rate in accordance with the Terms and Conditions set out in this contract.
Other Terms
MP3 players, iPods, speakers, mobile phones, and other items likely to cause annoyance may not be used in the club.
Lockers should only be used for storage of personal belongings.
Property is stored at the owner’s risk and the club will accept no liability for loss or damage.
Lockers will be cleared every 24 hours and all items removed.
The club reserves the right to dispose of any items not claimed within 4 weeks.
The club reserves the right to amend these terms at its absolute discretion. Notification of changes will be displayed on the notice board.

We collect personal information from you through the membership form and your use of our facilities. The information we collect may relate to your physical health or condition.
We use your personal information for the purpose of providing and personalising our membership services and providing you with information about products and services offered by us or our business partners and third parties.
